One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Registered Nurse (RN) on the 30-bed Neuroscience Unit, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to stroke patients who are admitted/ transferred to our Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence and help achieve optimal health outcomes and recovery.
Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.
You will be expected to demonstrate high-level critical thinking to ensure timely, thoughtful, individualized, and evidence-based care and continue our close partnership with Dignity's Neuro Institute which provides many opportunities for ongoing education.

Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
Care of
Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
Clinical/Technical
Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to the assigned unit.
Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
Candidates must have at least two years of acute care RN experience and an active California nursing license. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and the ability to obtain Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) within six months of hire.
