The Clinical Support Staff provides direct support services to youth and families, including case management, skill-building, and community resource navigation. They work within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, monitor progress, and assist with crisis response and documentation.

Summary The Child Center of NY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Support Staff member to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.

The Youth ACT program provides intensive, community-based services to children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families.

The Clinical Support Staff is responsible for providing direct support services to youth and families, assisting with case management, skill-building, and community linkage.

Working under the guidance of licensed clinicians, this role helps clients engage in treatment, access needed resources, and achieve their goals in the home and community setting.

Essential Functions Provide direct support services to children, adolescents, and families in home and community settings.

Assist clients with skill development in areas such as daily living, social interaction, coping strategies, and problem-solving.

Support youth and families in accessing and navigating community resources, including educational, vocational, medical, and social services.

Provide transportation assistance for clients and families, as needed, to facilitate access to services and appointments.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary ACT team to coordinate care and reinforce treatment goals.

Participate in daily team meetings and case reviews to monitor client progress and identify next steps.

Assist in crisis response and provide de-escalation support in collaboration with licensed team members.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided in the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Engage families in treatment planning, encouraging participation and shared decision-making.

Participate in outreach and engagement activities to promote client involvement in care.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, in a related field (social work, psychology, human services) strongly preferred Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in behavioral health, youth development, or social services. Strong communication, engagement, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Flexibility to provide services in the community, including evenings and weekends as needed. Willingness to use public transportation for client visits when necessary. Requirements
