Provides evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses for patients at the cancer center. Educates and mentors clinical staff, including nursing, residents, and fellows.
The starting pay for this position is $76.07 hourly which includes a geographic differential. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and 2. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and 3. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or 4. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.
The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. 2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have Acute Care Certification.
