About the role

The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support by preparing injections and sterilizing equipment while managing patient flow and administrative tasks. They will also coordinate patient data, maintain accurate charts, and assist with physician scheduling.

Medical Assistant Full-Time | $20-23/hour | Monday-Thursday 7

  • Friday 8am-12pm

About Southern Pain & Spine At Southern Pain & Spine, you’ll be part of a leading interventional pain management practice serving North Georgia and Metro Atlanta. Our board-certified team provides personalized treatment plans and minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.

The Opportunity As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in both clinical and administrative support. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow, safe clinical environments, and exceptional patient experiences.

What You’ll Do Clinical Support Prepare injections and solutions for pain management procedures Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments and surgical equipment Follow physician orders, protocols, and safety procedures precisely Patient Care & Coordination Collect patient data including vital signs and medical history Coordinate information between patients, physicians, and staff Check patients in and out with professionalism and efficiency Administrative Duties Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing reports Manage pre-authorizations and maintain accurate, organized charts Assist in coordinating physician schedules and appointments You’ll Thrive in This Role If You… Enjoy balancing hands-on patient care with administrative responsibilities Communicate clearly and adapt your style to patients, families, and coworkers Maintain strong attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping Work well independently while contributing to a collaborative team Stay organized and calm in a fast-paced clinical environment

Qualifications

1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant required 1+ year of experience with EMR systems required Athena EMR experience preferred Background in pain management preferred, but not required

Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant and one year of experience with EMR systems. Proficiency in Athena EMR and a background in pain management are preferred.
