The Dental Hygienist will provide oral health education, preventive services, and individual counseling to pediatric patients. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical records, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring the practice remains clean and presentable.
We are currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to deliver oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
$60.00-$75.00/hr
Sign on Bonus: $1000
Job Responsibilities
Provide oral health education and appropriate individual counseling for all dental patients
Record patient-hygienist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record so that the record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient, and the care or treatment provided
Drive appointment processing and efficiency by supporting all clinical aspects patient appointment as needed to meet the needs of the patient and keep the hygiene flow moving effectively. This may include, but not limited to taking x-rays, charting, chair turnover, etc.
Maintain instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by selecting, sterilizing, and sharpening instruments
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; participating in professional societies
Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children
In addition to the job description, you will be asked to perform other duties that support the business and our mission.
Candidates must hold an RDH state certification or license and possess strong interpersonal skills. Prior experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with Electronic Health Records software are preferred.
