Scope of Work Under the direction of a Pharmacist, provides technical assistance, processing and preparing medications and supplies.
Works with multiple medication automation systems.
Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas.
Triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.
Able to work in complex pharmacy areas (satellites, sterile product compounding, controlled substance handling, inventory management).
Prepares supplies / medication, including complex sterile formulations under the direction of a Pharmacist.
May prepare hazardous or biologic products when properly trained and competencies are passed.
Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging.
Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law.
Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications.
Completes all Corewell Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.
Required High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Associate's Degree Hospital experience Preferred LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or LIC-Pharmacy Technician Temp - STATE_MI State of Michigan Must obtain full licensure w/in 90 days of hire. Upon Hire required And LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required Or CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required Ideal candidate will be a Pharmacy Technician possessing both Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification, such as PTCB or ExCPT Ideal candidate will possess Inpatient Pharmacy experience and Sterile Compounding experience and will be someone looking for a positive work environment and a close-knit team This is an On-Site position Schedule is within: Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday/Sunday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, Start Times are rotated through either 6 a.m., 8 a.m., or 9:30 a.m. Start Times On-Site Parking
