At Children's National, our laboratory professionals play a vital role in advancing pediatric care through precision, innovation, and collaboration. The Send Out Lab team supports diagnostic testing across multiple specialties, ensuring accurate and timely results that help clinicians make informed decisions for patients and families.
Performs Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Virology, and/or Genetics procedures in accordance with established procedures and policies. Records and reports results; operates and maintains equipment; monitors quality control standards; evaluates new instruments and tests. Performs clerical and service duties as required.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent related field of science (Required)
Minimum Work Experience 1 year - Experience in an accredited clinical laboratory (Required)
Statistics preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills important Knowledge and skills related to LIS desirable.
Required Licenses and Certifications Registry or eligible as MT(ASCP) (Required)

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science field and at least one year of experience in an accredited clinical laboratory. Candidates must hold or be eligible for MT(ASCP) registry certification.
