Performs testing and test procedures according to established policies and guidelines Interprets quality control results and instrument function Completes scheduled preventive maintenance duties Provides assistance and guidance involving repairs, validations, and function checks and works with vendors as appropriate Collects blood specimens, etc. from laboratory outpatients Assists and completes investigations involving unexpected or adverse outcomes and keeps documentation according to regulatory guidelines
Education: Bachelor’s degree with major in Medical Technology or related science required.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science. Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by the ASCP or equivalent is required upon hire or within one year.
