Requirements

What you will do

Quality Temp Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Vascular Technologist to join our team and perform a wide range of non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care, has a strong understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology, and values working in a collaborative healthcare environment. As a Vascular Technologist, you’ll perform a variety of vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous studies of the upper and lower extremities, carotid studies, and other vascular assessments. You’ll work directly with patients to ensure their comfort during procedures, accurately obtain and document diagnostic findings, and support physicians in the diagnostic process.

Vascular Tech Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Explain vascular ultrasound procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort, cooperation, and understanding throughout the examination.
  • Perform a variety of non-invasive vascular examinations, including venous and arterial studies, carotid duplex examinations, and upper and lower extremity vascular studies.
  • Use Doppler and color-flow ultrasound technology to evaluate blood flow, identify abnormalities, and assess vascular structures.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal vascular anatomy and hemodynamics, accurately documenting measurements and findings for physician interpretation.
  • Obtain and document appropriate images, waveforms, velocity measurements, and other diagnostic information according to department and facility protocols.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals by providing accurate, high-quality vascular imaging and relevant technical information.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on vascular ultrasound equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and professional environment during vascular procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Vascular Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
  • Experience performing vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial, venous, and carotid studies.
  • Experience with Doppler and color-flow ultrasound technology.
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
  • Must have Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months Current Annual Health Clearance
