The Dietitian is responsible for planning modified diets as directed by the attending physician or licensed practitioner. This role also involves providing nutritional assessments and counseling patients and their families on dietary plans and food selection.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in nutritional studies, with a Dietary Manager certification being preferred. A minimum of three years of dietary experience in a healthcare facility, focusing on nutritional assessment and planning, is required.
The Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending physician/licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies and certification as a Dietary Manager preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience in nutritional field.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning preferred.
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and state certification required.
