The role involves performing computerized tomographic procedures for disease and injury diagnosis according to radiologist protocols, which includes preparing and positioning patients and accurately selecting technical parameters. Responsibilities also cover preparing and administering contrast media, observing patients during procedures, reporting abnormal activity, and adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
Minimum requirements include obtaining BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire and holding a Radiologic Technologist credential from Florida prior to the start date. Candidates must also possess one or more advanced credentials, such as NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT), in addition to a primary credential like ARRT(Radiography) or CNMT.
