HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering treatments, assisting in assessments, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning in accordance with the patient’s needs.
Demonstrates strong clinical skills and commitment to safe, patient-centered care.
Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Essential Functions Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
