The Recovery Counselor will provide one-on-one support sessions, facilitate group activities, and conduct timely, high-quality patient assessments and documentation within a therapeutic environment. This role also involves assisting with continuity of care planning, supporting family sessions, and encouraging long-term recovery through guidance and accountability.
A high school diploma is required, though a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of one year of experience in the substance use disorder or behavioral health field. Candidates must possess strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, and be familiar with addiction recovery concepts, DSM criteria, and treatment processes.

A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
