The specialist provides highly individualized services for enrollees with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, assessing needs and developing integrated treatment goals and interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Essential functions include providing clinical leadership to PACT staff, teaching recovery skills, delivering stage-wise treatment utilizing evidence-based practices like Motivational Interviewing and CBT, and managing medication education and crisis response.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field and hold a CADC/LCADC certification as required by New Jersey law. A minimum of two years of experience providing dual disorder/co-occurring services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and substance abuse is mandatory, along with a valid driver's license and required vehicle access.

As part of a multi-disciplinary, core services team, provides highly individualized services for enrollees who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Assesses history and current needs/preferences of the person served in the areas of mental health and substance use. Works with the person served and the team to develop integrated mental health and substance use treatment goals and interventions. Provides clinical leadership for PACT staff in the area of co-occurring treatment.
