The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and provides therapeutic interventions within a team approach, and is responsible for communicating treatment programs with team members, patients, and families. This role also involves directly supervising support personnel, participating in program development, and providing educational in-services.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification, and a State Licensure in Occupational Therapy. Up to one year of experience in a related field is also required for this position.
We are looking for an optional Occupational Therapist to work weekends at Bethesda Butler hospital including intermittent holiday coverage. Opportunity for weekday coverage as schedule allows. Weekend Supplemental Higher Rate of Pay Job Overview:
Evaluates patients, plans for and provides therapeutic interventions in a transdisciplinary/team approach. Responsible for the communication and coordination of treatment programs with other team members including the patient/family. Directly supervises assistants, interns and other support personnel, participates in program developments, continuous improvement and clinical education; and provides in-services to staff, hospital personnel and the community. Will also be expected to be a member of a collaborative team which is patient focused, functional outcome based and patient/family centered.
