The advocate will visit Medicaid members in their homes or other settings, providing quality care through close communication, supporting members with condition education, medication reviews, and connecting them to necessary resources. Key duties include assisting members with transitions from care facilities back to their homes and acting as an intermediary between providers and members.
Candidates must possess an independently licensed clinician status with a Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline or be an RN with 3+ years of behavioral health experience, requiring active and unrestricted Ohio licenses. A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related mental health environment, along with proficiency in computer skills and reliable home workspace/transportation, are mandatory.
Independently licensed clinician, with a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health discipline, OR an RN with 3+ years of experience in behavioral health Licenses must be independent, active, and unrestricted in the state of Ohio 2+ years of post-licensure experience in a related mental health environment Proficient computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook Access to high-speed internet and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home Reliable transportation and the ability to travel within the Toledo, OH area Reside in or near Toledo, OH
Experience working with the Medicaid population Community Mental Health experience Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients Experience working with low-income populations Experience working with either Medicaid or Medicare funded programs Medical / Behavioral setting experience (i.e., hospital, managed care organization, or joint medical / behavioral outpatient practice) Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse Clinical training experience *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
