The Radiology Tech performs provider-ordered digital X-ray studies, ensuring proper patient positioning and radiation protection while accurately documenting encounters in the EMR. Additional duties include collecting patient specimens, running point of care lab tests, and assisting with administrative tasks like registration and check-in/check-out.
Candidates must have completed an approved X-Ray Technician certification program and be registered with the American Registry of Radiographic Technicians (ARRT). A minimum of an associate degree is required, and one year of imaging and/or medical assisting experience is preferred.
