Provide medical monitoring and interventions for adults in psychiatric distress within a crisis stabilization program. Responsibilities include administering medications, collaborating with practitioners on treatment plans, and participating in daily psychiatric rounds.
Requires an Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent and a valid RN or LPN license. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience with the target population and a valid driver's license.
Provide supports/interventions that focus on maintaining clients at program to address behavioral health needs. Conduct medical monitoring protocols providing education and consultation to the clients, families and staff. Administer medications as prescribed by the practitioner; monitor clients for therapeutic and adverse effects consulting with medical team as needed Accurately complete all medication administration documentation Obtain written or verbal physician orders from on-site or on-call practitioner Collaborate with prescribing practitioner and community physicians to support coordinated treatment planning and ensure continuity of medical care Participate in daily psychiatric rounds, contributing to treatment plan development or revision, and ensure the implementation of physician orders
