• Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation is housed within four outpatient sites that offer a full scope of rehabilitative services for children ranging from birth to age 21 with a range of diagnoses and conditions.
• Our pediatric rehabilitation team operates within a collaborative, fast-paced, and patient-centered environment with the goal of working with children to maximize their potential.
• Arnold Palmer Hospital Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation is seeking for an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children of varying abilities through the therapeutic use of everyday activities to develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.

Responsibilities

• Essential Functions
• Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings if available, family and significant other persons and data sources.
• Develops treatment plans which integrate with the continuum of care and have specific goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to treat and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload.
• Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as delineated in the departmental policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in the use, care and maintenance of profession specific equipment, observing safety precautions and providing verbal explanations of the equipment and its purpose.
• Re-evaluates and modifies treatment plan and goals when appropriate, and prepares written documentation as required by the department, and the care team.
