Direct Support Professionals will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in completing daily routines such as eating, toileting, showering, meal preparation, and recreation while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities also include supervising, reporting on, and documenting any behavioral or medical concerns observed during shifts.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least one year of caregiving work history, along with a valid driver's license and three years of satisfactory driving history. Essential qualifications include the ability to maintain composure in crisis situations, build trusting relationships, and successfully pass criminal background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Delta is currently hiring for Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) Shifts: FT & PT 9a-3p, 3p-11p & 11p-9a Must have Intellectual Disability (IDD/DDD) Support Experience. Applicants must be willing to provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with toileting and maintaining personal hygiene. Delta Community Supports, Inc. – DSP Retention Bonus Agreement Purpose: To support workforce stability and continuity of care, Delta Community Supports, Inc. (“Employer”) offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and retention bonus (subject to applicable taxes and withholdings) for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Payment Schedule: $500 after 6 months of employment $500 after 12 months of employment $1,000 after 18 months of employment Eligibility Requirements: To receive and retain the bonus, you must: - Remain actively employed in good standing (not have any staff action forms on file for performance or attendance issues, not be on a PIP or have submitted notice of resignation). Maintain required clearances, certifications, and trainings - Comply with individual support plans, health/safety protocols, and agency policies - Work an average of 30 hours per week during the bonus period Acknowledgment: By signing, you acknowledge that you understand the importance of continuity of care and relationship-based support in the retention of direct care staff and that bonus payments will only be made if eligibility requirements are met in ach payment period.
