CCBHC Triage Coordinator

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Good computer skills and ability and willingness to learn a variety of applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Must be detailed oriented with good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Demonstrated courtesy, patience, and good judgment under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field, required.
• OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field plus two years of documented clinical experience in a mental health setting under Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) supervision, required.
• Must obtain IM+CANS Certification within 30 days of hire
• Experience serving Veterans and their families, preferred.
• Proficiency in using HFS electronic eligibility systems (MEDI/REV) and Electronic Health Records.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria for substance use disorder triage, preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
• Ability to complete required 40-hour domestic violence training, preferred.

Additional requirements

• Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.

Transportation/Travel requirements

• Driving for work required with transportation of clients preferred in a personally owned vehicle. Travel between sites not required.

• Physical demands
• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
