The advanced practice provider is responsible for the inpatient and outpatient management, consultations, and co-management of patients within acute care and practice settings. Essential functions include assessing patient status, developing diagnoses, formulating treatment plans collaboratively, and performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as credentialed.
Candidates must be a Nurse Practitioner (MN, MSN, DNP, or PhD/DNS) or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Required licensure includes an APRN license in Florida for NPs (with national certification required after July 1, 2006) or current PA licensure in Florida, along with current BLS certification for both roles. No specific years of experience are listed as required.
In this role, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will play a vital role in delivering both inpatient and outpatient care for children with conditions that require functional optimization. The focus will be on maximizing independence, enhancing functionality, reducing or eliminating pain, and improving overall quality of life. Additionally, the APP will provide care to an inpatient population of children ages 8–12 at the Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute, supporting recovery from chronic illness, surgery, or trauma through personalized rehabilitation in a compassionate, state-of-the-art environment.
