Key duties involve rooming patients, accurately measuring and recording vital signs, completing patient interviews, and preparing patients for examinations, tests, and treatments. We are currently in search of an experienced Medical Assistant (Certified or registered preferred) who likes to connect with people and has a compassionate outlook for our Vandalia location.

Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
Complete patient interview and history.
Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider.
May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
Administrative/clerical duties as required
• High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program. State or national certification preferred.
Candidates must have experience working as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Certification (Certified or Registered) is preferred, and proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills, and HIPAA compliance is necessary.
