The X-Ray Technologist operates X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. They prepare patients for procedures, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Candidates must have an associate degree in radiological technology and one to three years of experience as an X-ray technologist. Knowledge of X-ray procedures, anatomy, and safety protocols is essential.
1. Skill in positioning patients properly. 2. Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor. 3. Skill in following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
