The Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing MRI scans, CT scans, and x-rays as per physician orders while ensuring patient care and equipment functionality. They also maintain compliance records and assist in the upkeep of imaging equipment and supplies.
Candidates must have an associate's degree in radiological technology and be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Two years of experience in MRI/CT is preferred, along with knowledge of safety procedures and patient care.
Skill in positioning patients properly. Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying engineering technicians. Skill in following infection control, Radiological safety procedures and MRI safety procedures.
