Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our growing Ambulatory Surgical Center team. The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a vital member of the surgical team responsible for assisting in surgical operations. The CST prepares the operating room, arranges equipment, and helps surgeons and nurses during surgery by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready. Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Maintain the sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and state and federal regulations Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure accuracy. Clean and restock the operating room after procedures. Reprocess surgical instruments Adhere to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures. QualificationsQualifications:
Required: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current certification through NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting). BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent). Nevada State license/registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist (required by many facilities in Nevada).
Preferred
At least 1 year of surgical tech experience in a hospital or ASC setting. Experience in multiple specialties (e.g., orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurosurgery).
Skills and
Competencies: Proficiency in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
Working
Conditions: Operating room and sterile environments. Extended periods of standing, lifting, and moving heavy equipment or patients.
