The Milieu Counselor assists nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment and provides individualized patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. They also collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and co-facilitate select unit-based therapeutic groups.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and a minimum of one year of prior experience working in Psychology with specialized populations like emotionally disturbed children and families. Required skills include collaboration, effective communication in charged situations, group facilitation, and crisis management.

EDUCATION Associates degree required and Bachelor degree preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum one (1) year prior experience in Psychology working with specialized populations such as emotionally disturbed children and families. SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team to communicate and effectively deal with complex effectively charged situations and possess group facilitation and crisis management skills.
