As a Qualified Medication Aide, the primary role involves utilizing skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents while developing meaningful relationships with them. This includes creating a comforting atmosphere and collaborating with nursing and other teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Candidates must successfully complete a state-approved training program for medication administration and possess an active Indiana QMA license. A strong passion for geriatric nursing and excellent communication skills, demonstrating C.A.R.E. values, are also required.
