Intake Analysts are responsible for helping new individuals seeking mental health and substance use services by conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and providing program orientation. They also complete required admission paperwork, assign cases to levels of care, and coordinate services with external agencies like hospitals and law enforcement.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or MFT) and hold a corresponding state license (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLMFT, LMFT, TLLP, or LLP). A minimum of three years of full-time experience in the human services field, a valid Michigan Driver's License, and proficiency with EHRs and Microsoft Office are also required.

Our Intake Analysts help new individuals seeking mental health and substance use services at CNS Healthcare. They embrace a trauma-informed approach, leverage motivational interview techniques, and conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care to help individuals seeking service receive timely and quality care. Our Intake Analyst team also provides program orientation and detailed information about services to new individuals.
Our ideal candidate demonstrates competency in performing initial case management services, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, and support to new individuals. They maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal issues and civil rights applicable to providers of mental health services; such as commitment laws and procedures, duty to warn, duty to protect, guardianship, conservatorship, payee, Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Mental Health Code.
The starting pay for this position is $57,600 - $74,400 for limited licensed candidates, and $61,850 - $80,150 annual salary for fully licensed candidates, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.
