The Massage Therapist evaluates patients with impairments resulting from injury, disease, or stress, gathering data from various sources to determine appropriate interventions. Responsibilities include developing and modifying treatment plans using specific massage types, performing manual soft tissue work, and ensuring adherence to state practice standards and documentation requirements.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and maintain current Florida State Licensed Massage Therapist status along with NCBTMB certification. A minimum of five years of experience in a general massage setting or two years in a medical setting is required, with oncology experience being preferred.
