The Technician provides critical data to doctors by performing administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, conducting preliminary testing, and assisting with patient exams. They are responsible for ensuring the practice meets quality standards while managing patient experience and effective communication.
This role requires performing various clinical tasks such as preparing patients, executing preliminary and requested tests, and assisting optometrists and ophthalmologists with procedures. Essential duties also include coordinating patient scheduling, monitoring office flow, maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of the exam room, and adhering to physical demands including light lifting and sustained standing.
The Technician fulfills an important role in providing data that is critical to the doctor in order to provide proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting the doctors with any exam needs.
