The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support to physicians and residents in a family medicine residency clinic. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, assisting with examinations, administering medications, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of relevant experience. A current BLS certification and a recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration are required.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs patient care under the direction of the physician or Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ambulatory setting
This position supports the Pediatrics service within our Family Medicine Residency Clinic. This is an outpatient teaching clinic for our ACGME-accredited residency program. The Certified Medical Assistant works closely with the attending physician, residents, and clinical team to support pediatric patient visits in a collaborative, education‑focused environment.

High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one (1) year of verifiable and applicable work experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting) required.
