The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient management, consultations, and co-management for patients in acute care and practice settings. Essential functions include assessing patient status, developing diagnoses, implementing treatment plans, performing surgical tasks like wound closure, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds and on-call rotations.
Candidates must meet specific educational requirements, either holding an MN, MSN, DNP, PhD, or DNS degree for Nurse Practitioners, or graduating from an accredited physician assistant program. Licensure requires an active APRN license in Florida for NPs (with national certification after July 2006) or current PA licensure in Florida, along with maintaining current BLS certification; no prior experience is explicitly required.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide inpatient-only clinical support for multiple surgical service lines at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC).
