The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs various respiratory care modalities for patients ranging from infancy through geriatrics, requiring the application of clinical skills with moderate supervision. Essential functions include managing airways and ventilators, drawing and analyzing blood gases, and administering medications and oxygen.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care school and be credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the NBRC. Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Maryland, current CPR certification, and maintenance of continuing education are mandatory requirements.
Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
Performs a variety of Respiratory Care modalities on patients from infancy through geriatric age categories. The RCP I must be able to apply decision-making and clinical skills with moderate supervision, provide for safe and effective respiratory care in the general patient care setting.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
