The Direct Support Professional provides 24/7 care for adults with disabilities, including medication administration, personal hygiene assistance, and household support. They also facilitate community outings and advocate for client healthcare needs while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug test. Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English are required, though no prior experience is necessary.
Description Horizon Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been operating in Umatilla County since 1977. We support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes (24/7 support) and in the community. We're looking for reliable caregivers that prioritize quality client care and promote client independence where possible.
No prior experience or certifications are required. Experience may be considered when discussing starting pay.
$16 - $22 per hour. Starting pay is $16 - $18.50 depending on experience.
