Physical therapists evaluate patients and provide treatment according to a prescribed plan of care. They also supervise clinical staff and maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited physical therapy program and hold current Florida licensure. Advanced clinical experience in specific areas is preferred, along with CPR certification within three months of employment.
Physical therapists help people with physical injuries or illnesses of to regain range of movement and control their pain. Physical therapists, or PTs, help people who have lost motor function due to accidents, illness or age. They help determine the root causes of the trauma, counsel patients, and work with them to create a plan for rehabilitation.
Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program. Advanced clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, industrial medicine, neurology, rheumatology or gerontology preferred. Current Florida licensure required.
Two years of clinical experience, with 1 in an outpatient setting preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification within 3 months of employment
