BSW Rehab at Dallas N. Washington Ave is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team in an adult OP setting. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Hand Therapist andhave a desire to train and mentor within our AOTA Hand Fellowship program. The candidate will collaboratewith the OT and PT teams in-house and have a desire for mentoring other OT's across the company. Experience and proficiency with splinting skills would be required. We primarily treat orthopedic injuries and conditions but also some high-level neurologic conditions on occasion. Situated on the campus of a level-1 trauma center, we frequently see multi-trauma patients, tendon transfers/reconstructions, traumatic amputees, as well as nerve grafts. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate current relationships with our established as well as new and potential referral sources. Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment Patient Case Load Average: 8-10 patients a day Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately Promoting continuous quality improvement Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
