Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team! The Medical Lab Technician works as a generalist in all areas of the laboratory which include but not limited to, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and specimen processing. Applicants claiming Indian Preference must complete the full application and must provide documentation verifying eligibility (such as a tribal enrollment card or Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)).
• Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform phlebotomy when required. Collects and processes laboratory specimens as ordered by clinic provider staff Performs Quality Control (QC) procedures on laboratory equipment according to clinic and manufacturer standards, policies, and procedures Logs incoming and outgoing lab results; maintains and retains records as required Evaluates post analytical tests results, distributes test results appropriately, and reports test results to medical staff as required Assists in maintaining lab supplies to ensure an adequate supply is available. Notifies the lab director of low stock. Processes orders of lab supplies on a monthly basis Performs maintenance on instruments as required by the manufacturer Performs required quarterly proficiency testing Performs duties of the laboratory director when absent The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is a non-profit organization and not a federal employer. Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values Must be a Graduate of an accredited school with an approved curriculum in Medical Technology OR 10+ years of MLT experience in a lab, must obtain MLT certification within 2 years Knowledge of RPMS preferred
