The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients dealing with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including managing benign hematology consults. Responsibilities also involve developing individualized treatment plans using systemic therapies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must be Board-certified or eligible in both Hematology and Medical Oncology, with a dual-boarded status being preferred. Applicants must also be fellowship-trained from an accredited program and eligible for an Illinois medical license, possessing strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach.
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.) Manage benign hematology consults and non-malignant blood disorders as needed Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including systemic therapies (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents) Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (radiology, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, palliative care) for optimal patient outcomes Participate in tumor board discussions and quality initiatives Deliver patient-centered care with strong emphasis on communication, shared decision-making, and supportive services

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000 -$550,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
