The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit by implementing care plans and performing clinical procedures. They are responsible for supervising nursing assistants, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring patient safety through effective communication and critical thinking.
Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. A college diploma in nursing is required, and Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
