Job description

Individuals in this job classification are responsible for assessing, planning,\nimplementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities under OSUMC standards\nto deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse\n(RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide\ncare appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This\nindividual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and\ndevelopment over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of\nthe patient’s status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to\nidentify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. \nThe RN is to plan for the provision of patient care, including the development,\nmodification, and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC\nstandards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care as\ndescribed in the Patient Care policies and procedures. He/she is expected to\nadhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma\nNursing Practice Act. This position is a 13-week assignment.
