The Medical Office Specialist provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and surgeons to ensure quality patient care. They work as part of a health team to assist in direct patient care and unit support tasks under the supervision of medical professionals.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a Medical Assistant Certification from an approved school. A minimum of two years of experience as a medical assistant and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
The Medical Office Specialist offers clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons. Assists in patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Performs various duties as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patient and their families and also assists with tasks to support the unit. Participates and supports the health team in the direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN or MD.
