The Occupational Therapist provides patient assessments, direct care, and individualized care planning as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role also involves the oversight of support staff, including PTs, techs, and students.

Functions as an interdisciplinary team member providing patient assessment/re-assessment, direct patient care and individualized care planning/implementation and oversight of support staff.
O.T.R., Tennessee State license or eligibility.

BA, BS or MA in occupational therapy.

Experience: 0 to 6 months (with pediatric experience preferred)
CPR certified with A.H.A. Modality Certified Preferred.
General guidance from management, expected to perform most duties independently in accordance with established hospital and departmental policy and procedure.
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.
