The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies and develop individualized treatment plans. They are also responsible for implementing care plans, monitoring respiratory equipment, and documenting patient progress.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an associate/technical degree. Required certifications include BLS and an Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner credential.

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Pediatric Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certified.
