The caregiver is responsible for providing physical, emotional, and mental support to residents, including assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, and daily activities. They must also maintain resident charts, report changes in health status, and ensure a clean and safe living environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and maintain a current First-Aid certification. Prior experience in elderly care and certifications such as CNA or HHA are preferred.

Ensure each resident looks clean and presentable throughout the day. Assist with dressing, applying make-up, combing hair, cleaning eyeglasses, and assisting with other personal grooming tasks as needed. Keep resident' s rooms in proper order throughout the day, including tidying rooms, making beds, and putting clothes away. Assist residents by providing for their comfort, safety and enjoyment. Keep any internal charts current, know of each resident's needs, and report all observed physical and emotional changes in residents to the Shift Manager and Assistant Administrator/Care Coordinator. Report should occur by the end of the shift and should be documented in the change-over notes, unless immediate intervention is needed. Attend periodic staff meetings and in-service training and mandatory meeting as required. Read, follow and sign any care plans and posted messages and/or updates during each shift. Observe Resident's Rights, as posted within the facility. Promptly respond to resident calls for assistance. In Emergency situations, assist residents according to the Emergency Plan of the facility. Assist with First Aid as directed. Maintain a cooperative and cheerful attitude when relating to residents or their guests Assist with bathing and dressing of residents as scheduled or directed. Assist residents at mealtime as directed or needed. Assist residents with personal hygiene needs as needed throughout the shift. Assist residents with daily recreational activities, including crafts, games, music and exercise and encourage participation. Follow any written work schedules and service schedules All employees must keep their First-Aid certification current Education/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: Certified Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aide Certificate At least some prior experience in caring for the elderly is preferred and be at least (18) years old. Skills, knowledge and Abilities: Skill in compassionately caring for elderly, knowledge of proper caregiving techniques, and the ability to care for several residents at one time. Must be able to maintain order and efficiency in performing job duties, maintain constant pace.
