The caregiver provides personal care, companionship, and homemaker services to clients in their homes according to an individualized plan. They are responsible for assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring health conditions, and maintaining a safe environment.
Candidates must have at least a ninth-grade education and completion of approved caregiver training. Additionally, they must possess current CPR and First Aid certification and pass all required background checks.

The Caregiver is responsible for providing personal care, companionship, and homemaker services to clients in accordance with the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) standards,
agency policies, and the individualized Plan of Care. The Caregiver plays a vital role in helping clients maintain dignity, independence, and safety within their home environment.
1. Completion of at least the ninth (9th) grade; a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
2. Successful completion of an approved caregiver training, including an introduction to personal care services.
3. Must be free from health conditions that could endanger the caregiver, client, or coworkers. Documentation on good health must be provided prior to assignment.
4. Must demonstrate an understanding of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation tasks.
5. Must demonstrate professional conduct, respect for client privacy, and adherence to confidentiality standards.
6. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
7. Must possess current CPR and First Aid certification.
8. Must pass all background and reference checks as required by MDH and Premium Care USA policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide care and support services as outlined in each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
3. Maintain a safe and clean home environment, reporting any hazards or client safety concerns promptly.
4. Accurately document services rendered and observations in the client record daily.
5. Report any changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the supervisor or nurse immediately.
6. Follow agency policies, infection control standards, and professional boundaries at all times.
7. Participate in required training, meetings, and performance evaluations.
8. Represent Premium Care USA in a professional manner with clients, families, and community partners.
