Responsibilities

Assessment - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family. Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family. Evaluation & Education - Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities. Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse License in State of New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates in Human Services or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology or Human Services preferred. 1-3 years of healthcare experience in related field preferred. PAY RANGE: $39.74 - $52.99 CITY: Newark POSTAL CODE: 14513 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
