The LPN is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care under the supervision of an RN. Key duties include performing nursing treatments, documenting patient responses, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary health team.
Requires a current Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR certification. Candidates should have up to one year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director and the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing culturally sensitive care that is appropriate for the patient’s developmental age. The Licensed Practical Nurse effectively interacts with patients, family members, and other health team members, follows the nursing plan of care as it has been formulated, and maintains the standards of professional nursing.
