Responsibilities

• Under the direction of licensed physical therapists, treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes; communicate results to the supervising PT.
• Assist with implementing and modifying treatment plans in collaboration with the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety, infection control, and standard precautions are followed.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and activity modification to optimize recovery and function.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years PTA experience (REQUIRED)
• Active Texas PTA license or compact license (REQUIRED)
• Ability to work in a LTAC/LTC setting and follow supervision by a PT
• Proficient in documenting patient progress and communicating treatment results
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to standard care protocols
