The Ambulatory Pharmacist optimizes medication therapy in primary care clinics to improve patient outcomes and quality metrics. This includes conducting medication reviews, managing chronic diseases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.
A Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) and a valid pharmacy license are required, along with at least two years of relevant clinical experience. Residency training or BCACP certification is highly preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with state and federal insurance programs Familiarity with appropriate local, state, and federal pharmacy-related regulations Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Willingness to travel locally up to 50% of the time; flexible to work evening, weekends and/or holidays as needed Fluency in spoken and written English This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA: Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) required Valid pharmacy license in good standing Registered Pharmacist (RPh) required, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred Pharmacy residency or ambulatory care certification (e.g. BCACP) preferred Minimum two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in primary care, ambulatory care, managed care, or related setting Certification in immunization and medication therapy management is a plus Residency training or ambulatory care certification is highly preferred Experience in managed care, HMO, PBM, or MSO settings is a plus PAY RANGE: $118,062 - $168,658 Salary The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
